Being from a family of artistic and creative people, I grew up with a love of and the knack for design and styling, an understanding of color and gardens, and a passion for creating beautiful decor.

However, being practical as well, I put my passion for design on hold and led a successful corporate career in the financial industry.  In 2011, I made the decision to follow my creative heart and I embarked on a path to become educated in the design industry. Investing several years in schooling, tutelage and field work was very important to guide my focus.

During this time, I learned of a movement in local towns and cities to promote economic growth in their communities.  The movement encourages development of buildings into mixed-use property.  Catering to empty-nesters and young millennials, these buildings provide retail and restaurants on lower levels and residential living above. Instantly, I saw the need to help local retailers and commercial businesses in their part of this endeavor by using visually-impactful designs.  Inspiration for starting Copper Willow Design Group LLC was born.

I founded Copper Willow Design Group to support this type of economic development and help business to maximize a curb-appeal with a focused approach on exterior styling.  Seasonally inspired, creative and refreshed exteriors help local businesses to attract patrons and promote interest in their business.

Copper Willow Design Group

Historically, Main Street, USA, was the social and economic hub of communities including both small towns and large cities. The downtown landscape provided a focal point and a unique social atmosphere. Escalating competition from big business, shopping malls and internet shopping has drastically changed this landscape. Local businesses and towns economies are challenged with maintaining a position in their community and a vibrant downtown. As a result, many towns are backing efforts to return to walkable urbanism and create destination shopping and dining experiences. At Copper Willow Design Group, we recognize the additional need to create vibrancy through exterior styling.

With fresh, seasonally-inspired and individualized designs, storefronts will generate visual interest to increase foot traffic, urban appeal and renewed enthusiasm for Main Street, USA. Our goal is to make entrances grand again and provide that curb-appeal experience.

Our design principle brings together elements of hard and soft, with texture as the key to creating distinctive and unusual displays. As a full-service design, styling and holiday décor company, we will work with you to develop a design that fits your style and business.
